A reader wrote to me about the possibility that some new psychiatric medication is leading to patients committing mass murder. Definitely a hypothesis worth exploring. It would require a statistical comparison of those who take the drugs with those who have the same diagnosis but don’t take them. It would take a look at the timing of when the drugs started to be deployed and when the mass murders started to increase. As far as I know, there was no break in those murders, it steadily increased over more than a generation. It would take a look at what the effects of these drugs are outside the US. Quite possibly some of that work has already been done and if one were to go through the published scientific papers, one would see something.
It’s just a difficult and arduous journey. Better to open an alternative website (or perhaps a List owned by a local partner of George Soros, he uses the same methods) and read a gripping adventure story about a scientist who learned in unspecified ways about the negative effects of the drugs and is now being persecuted, the pharmaceutical lobby is trying to murder him, etc. If one reads a few of these articles, then one can argue for hours with the ” sheep”, i.e. the manipulated people who don’t believe in conspiracies. When I wrote to the reader that he had probably run into scammers, he never responded.
There’s nothing to it. There’s always been plenty of people who prefer that the other method. It just wasn’t widespread among the real or intellectual elite and it wasn’t the main method of political opposition.
