An answer to a media question about censorship in the West:
“We live in a regime of oligarchic dictatorship (i.e., rule by a limited number of members of the political class, intellectuals, and representatives of multinational corporations), and this regime, out of inertia, still respects some of the civil liberties established under the former democratic regime.
It is absurd and useless to complain and demand freedom of expression because this regime has no interest in respecting it and there is no one who wants to force it to do so. It is equally futile to invoke the Constitution – there is no reason why the current regime should respect it. On the other hand, I consider complaints about the pandemic law or the various special regimes to be completely futile. When they get the urge to lock you up, they’ll just do it. It’s completely indifferent whether they get this or that norm passed.”
