One cannot but regret the development of the Gatestone Institute. This think tank was founded in 2008 and has published sophisticated and highly accurate analyses of the relationship between the Western world and Islam, or the Islamic colonisation of Europe. It was a vital institution in a world where the mainstream had adopted a position of submission to Islam and the alternative was full of unverified information and conspiracies. Gateston published quality verified stuff, and did not censor anything.

In 2013, however, John Bolton became chairman, a figure representing the worst of the Bush era. The kind of nutcase who would love to start another war every 10 minutes, and doesn’t care who he shoots at, and who can easily make a deal with the jihadists (or so he thinks, and then wonders every time). The Gatestone Institute began to change under his leadership, and that continues after Bolton. Issues of Islam and the clash of civilizations are pushed aside and the main issue is support for more wars, especially against Russia and China.
Recently, we have read that if Russia does not want foreign nuclear missiles on its borders, it is ‘effectively demanding that NATO commit suicide’. This is said to be “patently outrageous and unworkable,” and anyone who wants to conduct peace talks is “the weak link in the chain.” Of course, there is no shortage of comparisons of Putin to Adolf Hitler.

In another, the text is about China’s frightening arms build-up, the highlight of which, according to Gatestone analysts, is China’s intention to reach a point where the US will be unable to attack it nuclearly. What a horror! Understandably, there is no shortage of cynical anti-vaxxer rants, typical of American neocons of late.
Incidentally, in the conflict between the Chinese government and Muslim terrorists, the Gatestone Institute is on the side of the jihadists.
