American reporter Lara Logan used to be a mainstream star. The kind of correct type who interviews Barack Obama, rails against conservatives and gets her due. But somehow she’s gone off the rails.
This is the rare case where an editor has heard for years that the main danger is white neo-Nazis. Then western liberal democrats start supporting white neo-Nazis because Putin and everyone changes their minds in a matter of seconds and someone has a breakdown. Lara Logan broke down and still doesn’t understand why Americans support the restored SS divisions.
Her performance isn’t even that interesting because of Ukraine. Just because Lara says something different than most, it does not follow that her view is accurate or that she has the true information.
Find the worst and most repulsive thing available in the world. Help it as much as possible. Hoping it will harm America’s enemies.
Much more interesting is her description of how US influence agencies systematically supported initially fringe neo-Nazi groups until they helped them effectively take over Ukraine. In fact, this is no different from a few years earlier, when the Americans very similarly bred radical jihadists, which gradually led to the emergence of the Islamic State. The strategy is still the same. Find the worst and most repulsive thing available in the world. Help it as much as possible. Hoping it will harm America’s enemies. And it always turns out that a substantial part of that evil turns against the West. I fear it will be no different with Slavic neo-Nazism, and that it will soon find targets other than the Russians.
This time it is not a question of a war of civilizations. This time I am referring to our own waste.
We have to hope that the movie Alien doesn’t exist. Otherwise, the Americans would have fed him by now.
