I will bring the text of the Czech-Israeli security expert David Bohbot tomorrow, but I will highlight one aspect of the Russian civil war that I think is completely underestimated. There is a lot of discussion about how the Russian army is doing on the battlefield. It is just that the Russian army is up against the best that NATO is capable of putting up. And how is NATO doing?
David rightly points out that on the Ukrainian side are the best anti-tank and anti-aircraft weapons that NATO has at its disposal. NATO instructors have been training Ukrainian soldiers, setting strategy, and special tasks are being carried out by special forces from the UK and other NATO countries. NATO’s communications and command system is involved.
So the American command can wage war very aggressively and not address the casualty numbers on their own side.
But not only that. If the Americans were fighting directly in Ukraine, the public there would react to every fallen. If war crimes were being committed directly by Americans, it would be addressed in the local congress and the squares would probably already be full of demonstrators. But Ukrainians are doing the dirty work and Ukrainians are dying. So the American command can wage war very aggressively and not address the casualty numbers on their own side. Thousands of dead do not matter to anyone.
In other words, what stands against Russia today is arguably stronger than any NATO army, except perhaps the US military. Does combat effectiveness demonstrated in Ukraina battlefield justify the arrogance we hear every day in the media?
