Various old proverbs say that the lie always wins over the truth. But it’s more complicated than that. A liar may often deceive an honest person, but people who see the world truthfully are able to act more rationally, make smarter decisions, and triumph over those who are entangled in their lies. They definitely have the upper hand over those who believe their own lies.
Our fundamental problem is not knowing how to lie. Our basic problem is to learn the truth.
This can be demonstrated by the war in Ukraine. Members of the European elites believed their own propaganda lies about Russia being a country incapable of fighting. They say they have no military industry, they are unable to start production, their people are cowardly, they refuse to fight, we can easily destroy them in a few weeks. On this basis, a military campaign was planned, and we see how it turned out.
