Readers of my blog probably all have at least a rough idea of what has been happening in Rotherham and other British towns where Muslim gangs have kidnapped hundreds of girls from working class families and used or sold them as sex slaves. With the tacit or even active support of the police and the authorities. My readers probably also know that a few people stood up against this and faced severe repression, absolutely comparable to the worst of the Eastern European 1950s. Incidentally, the most prominent figure of that popular resistance, Tommy Robinson, is currently in prison again.

What to say to the notion that the Zionists are behind this? That the British population wouldn’t mind some kidnapping of girls, but Zionist agents are constantly causing disturbances. You’d say that’s the opinion of a fringe nutter, but no. Brought to you by Greyzone, which is a super-prestigious left-wing media outlet, probably the most important independent investigative left-wing site in the world. I occasionally quote from it here. And it’s signed by one of their key analysts.

It raises a question that’s been in the air for a long time. Is it possible to promote Palestinian jihad as a “national liberation movement” and not promote the Islamisation of Europe? Is it possible to describe the murder of Israeli children (and children from Druze villages) as justified and not cheer the jihadist murders in European cities?

Yes, it’s possible. But it’s difficult. And it’s paradoxically more difficult for educated and thoughtful people, because they have a greater need for a consistent picture of the world. When one accepts that jihadist lies are credible without needing any further proof (and without that, supporting the Palestinian cause is impossible), it is very difficult not to take them as credible in Europe too. Including the basic premise that “Islamophobia” is unacceptable and Islamophobia is disrespect for Sharia law in the first place.

Anyone who doesn’t want to implement Sharia in Europe is an Israeli agent. How simple.

I’ve known this since 2015 from some deranged conservative circles. Hatred of Jews and fraternization with Muslims as fellow warriors against Jewish domination. Welcoming the arrival of jihadists in European countries as liberators. Only now it has erupted in full force on the left.

And, as in most similar cases, there is an error of thought behind it. When I listen to Scott Ritter, for example, I can approach him by waiting to see if every prediction he makes comes true. Over time, I find that some come true (like the gradual collapse of NATO forces in Ukraine), others only partially (Russia’s advance is not nearly as rapid as he predicted), and others not at all (about an overwhelming Iranian victory over Israel). Next, I can look at which theories (opinions) each prediction is based on and sort everything else Scott Ritter utters accordingly. Just try sorting Hamas propaganda like that.

You can buy me a coffee here.
